"mmm bop."

So I found my way on to topshop.com today.
(and easily went through a good 30 minutes snooping)
And I really liked some of the pieces I found.
PLUS +
Since I have been lacking in the sweater department, I might just need to scrounge up the moola to purchase the slouchy black and white knit.
(looking back at my old posts shows a peculiar pattern with striped shirts with me, its kinda a weakness.)

thanks for following me and stuff.

"Your face is good for my eyes."

This dress makes me happy.
While shopping at Forever 21 not too long ago, I came across this dress, and easily said, I fell in love.
(Not in a creepy "I want to marry this building" way.)
As soon as I found it, I went to the dressing room and had to try it on. Seeing that I kinda adored it, I had to take a picture.
(funny story, taking pictures isn't allowed in Forever 21, and when I did with the flash, they thought it was the girl in the dressing room next to mine. Lets just say they weren't too happy about it.)
Sadly, I ended up not getting it because there was no possible way to wear it with a bra, and that is a little necessary for myself. But to everyone out there, if you have $34.00 to spare, go and buy it. Trust me, its worth it.
(I just gave you a link becasue I am nice.)

"Hey Madeline.

I just blogged about you.

Ok, bye."

All things go, All things grow.

So, something pretty rad happened to me a couple days ago.
I FINALLY FOUND OXFORDS!
Even better yet, I got them for a wopping total of $4.38.
Not gonna lie, I bragged to at least 3 people today about them.
The only downside is that they are not nude, and I was really hoping that I could find some quality nude oxfords, but I went with the topey gray ones instead.
Im also having a really tough time with the whole sweater situation this fall in MN. I seriously have been sucking at putting any effort of adding sweaters to my wardrobe besides this GIGANTOR grandpa sweater.
(Im serious, its huge and my grandpas.)

On the other hand,

(to my whole 5 followers haha)

A friend of mine and myself decided that we are going to start partner blogging

(post links about eachothers blog on our blogs, etc.)

So here it is everyone, the fantastic ALEX CYERT.

http://alexcyert.blogspot.com/

Not gonna lie though, he does have some really sweet pictures on his blog; and he blogs alot more reguarly then myself so you all should check it out.

Procrastinators Unite....Tomorrow.

So, I just noticed that I have 5 followers.

SWEEEEEEt.

This has motivated me to actually start blogging more and not procrastinate so darn much.
Since I last blogged, school has started, my hair changed colors, and I've grown a tail.
Not really, that would be kinda wierd

There is one thing that myself and a friend decided to start doing. We were going to document our outfits through the year by taking a picture every day.

Key word: WERE

It never actually went through because procrastination strikes again, but we did get the first two days down. Here is the pictures of us looking spiffy.
.

Im wearing a black and white polka dot jumper for Charlotte Rouse and belted cardigan from H&M.
In this one I'm wearing a black and white striped boyfriend tshirt from H&M and an oversized cardigan my aunt knitted. (thanks Cindy!)
I just noticed that I have been wearing alot of black and white. Woops.

I drove to New York in my van.

So, where do I start out.
Today was.......

Yeah, I can't really complete this sentence because my didn't amount to much.

Well, one productive thing I did today was get on my deviant art acount and actuallty upload a couple things, since I have been pretty unmotivated to get on there for the past 5 months.
hahah.
Here is the link if anyone would like to sneak a peek.

Also, I have been literally drooling over these oxfords, even if they are knockoffs. I think they are just too cute, and would work with just about anything. Also, my shoe collection in my closet is really lacking in the nude department.
Also. I am going to start something called the deal of the day. I'm going to post a link to a site with a great price on a article of clothing or ecsessory.
Today, comes from Urban Outfitters.
http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/urban/catalog/productdetail.jsp?itemdescription=true&itemCount=80&startValue=1&selectedProductColor=&sortby=&id=18379339&parentid=SALE_YARDSALE_LASTCHANCE&sortProperties=+subCategoryPosition,+product.marketingPriority&navCount=14&navAction=jump&color=&pushId=SALE_YARDSALE_LASTCHANCE&popId=SALE&prepushId=&selectedProductSize=#BVRRWidgetID
Sorry about the extensive link. CRAZY DUDE, but worth it.
Its an adorable dress for only $5.00.
Wahoo, talk about a swwweet deal.
Dance on in this soft knit dress with a scoopneck knit top and solid, swingy skirt.

Seriously, check it out. Totally worth it.
Well, thats about all folks. Thanks for reading.

I'm going to shrink you and place you on my shelf.

Good Evening WORLD.

I don't have much to say, but I am going to talk anyways.
To start off, I did a sweet photo shoot today with mi hermana menor.

Little sister for all you english speakers.

I have found that I have grown extremely fond of taking fashion pictures. Just the whole process is great. First I start out by putting together an outfit for my model.
btdubs, anyone out there want to be a model? I need some fresh faces.
Sorry ABBey.

After the outfit is chosen, next is location. Location, location, location. Such an important part of the overall affect that we are trying to go for.

Then, I pretty much just point and shoot.
Simple as that.
Well, thats pretty much all my day acounted to.

4 for you Glenn Coco, you go Glenn Coco.

So, the first picture here is my entry into the Teen Vogue snapshot competition. Now that I have entered and finished that, I'm going to refrain myself from babbling anymore about it.

So this is my newest outfit in my closet, and I can easily say that I adore it. I just feel so girly and flouncy in it.
"LIke a part time lover and a full time friend."
The whole outfit probly cost under 15 dollars. It's actually a dress with another floral skirt layered over it. I got the skirt for only $2.99 at the Target kids section. Given, the only way I was able to fit in it was get the largest size haha.
And the dress is from my mother, it was a present, so I am rather clueless where that is from.
And last but DEFIENTLY not least, Im proud to say that the sunglasses are my grandmas. Straight vintage and just the way I like it.
One thing that many probably don't know about myself is that I like to do alot of fashion photography, so I decided to dedicate this post to some old and recent pictures I have taken.

MODELS:
Abbey(My little sister, 1st. 2nd. 4th picture)
Kenzie (3rd picture)

Like Popeye's Hoe, Yo.

To start off, sorry i haven't posted in a good 4 weeks, I have been at a music camp being a nerd. I posted a couple of pictures i took there with some of my friends and of them.
Now back to the actual clothes stuff. Teen Vogue is having a competition for styling of outfits. I'm not usually into that kind of stuff but up for stakes is a trip to NYC, and I have wanted to go back since a visited there this past April. I'm not really sure as to what I want to send in for my look, but here is one option. I kind of went 50's housewife'ish with a twist. I layered a floral high wasted full skirt over this navy sailor like dress i picked up at Forever21. I know this is alot of babbling, but I want something good. I need advice as to what needs to change or stay. The shoes are black suede ankle heel boots that I adore and would like to incorporate into the outfit.

Please be constructive with you feedback, please. {cue flight of the conchords}

So I survived finals week, and am quite satisfied with my grades this term. And guess what...SCHOOLS OUT FOR THE SUMMER.

I wish that I could tell you that all has been great since school has been out 2 days ago, but I have felt like death the past two days. Headaches and sore throats isn't exactly as good as going to the beach, but I did dig up some pictures that I styled and took.
The one on the top is over edited, but one of my favorite grandpa sweaters, straight from the 80's. Also I adored the mocs that I had on untill I completely trashed them in mud a couple weeks ago. Not the smartest move.
But the picture below is my little sister that I dressed up. The skirt is from Urban Outfitters and snagged it off the sales rack for 5 bucks. The fringed bag is from forever 21 and shoes from good old target.

i like coffee, i like tea.

School this week is going to be a pain.
Thinking about 3 finals makes me feel sick, but thinking about how this is my last week makes me feel rather pleased.

Ok, so I'm done with my babbling, but I have been really into denim tops lately. They make me feel all midwestern.

Also, I wish people would stop hating on brown and black convos. So I know some people butcher that look, but I don't think it's too bad.

(hence my brown shoes with black tights)

French nautical is my new love. I love stripes soooooo much. I honestly have at least 10 striped garmets in my closet to say a few. The striped shirt I am wearing above is actually a short sleave cabble knit sweater. It's great, and I got it for only $3.00.

(It's almost embarassing how I can find clothes that cheap).

The shoes are actually my sisters, and she picked them up at Target. If there is one thing I love more then stripes, its Target. That store is fantastic, nough said. Living in a small town makes that store even more appealing, I have to drive a good hour or so to get to some major retail stores, but target is defeniantly a great exception.

...because she's a wizard.

So I have this sister Abbey.

(Cool story, Emily)

Lets just say she is pretty much my living manikan;

So I have lots of fun dressing her up.
Her full outfit cost under 20 bucks.
(I'm pretty proud of that myself)
So to start off, when I go looking for pieces that are unique, I go to one of these two pieces.
1.) Vintage Consignment Shop
2.) My parents closet
Those are my favorite places because, they are so cheap and you are almost always guaranteed that you won't see someone on the street wearing the same thing as you.
Tales of Boys, Girls, and Marsupials-The Wombats.

There's always a start to something.

I have always promised myself I would never start a blog.
Because simply I have never had much to blog about.
Ironicly, here I am anyhow.
But recently I have gotten into looking at fashion blog's from cool cat's around the world, and I wanted to give it a try.
I know, kinda cheesy.
But to get one thing straight before I go gallivanting along, on this blog you are most likely to not find a strand of designer clothes items, because simply....I'm too cheap.
So to get to the point
forgive my babbling
I want to show that you can be a bargan hunter
like myself
and have fun styling too.
So anyhoo, here we go.
